Maldon's Road to No-where

Maldon – Dombarton bridge

A literal road to nowhere, the Maldon to Dombarton bridge is an incomplete concrete bridge originally designed to link up the two cities. You may spot it whilst dirivng across the nearby B88 highway. 

We accessed it by a road from the highway going east past the skydiving centre. 

It's  often visited by those looking to do some Four wheel driving and is only accessible by ascending a rather steep hill, which is now scarred with deep erosion channels.

You wouldn't want to get a vehicle stuck up there,  It's a seriously steep incline

The bridge itself is still in fantastic condition

There's some amazing views worth the walk, heads up! - we had some very strong winds!
